What are your standard moving rates?
The labour + driver + truck rate is $100 + GST per hour ($115 including GST). The call-out is $50 including GST. An additional mover is $30 + GST per hour ($34.50 including GST).
How is travel time charged?
Google travel time is billed at the applicable hourly rate. Accurate pickup and delivery addresses are important for understanding the travel component.
Is the calculator result a confirmed price?
No. It is an estimate based on the details supplied. Actual cost can change with time, travel, access, item information and work required.
When is my booking confirmed?
Submitting a form does not confirm a booking. MoveRemove must review the request and separately confirm availability, date and service details.
What should I include in a moving request?
Provide both addresses, preferred date and time, item information, stairs or lift details, parking conditions, carrying distance and any fragile or heavy items.
How does the junk-removal estimate work?
Photos and details are used for an initial estimate. The final quote is confirmed after the team checks the actual load, materials, volume, weight and access on site.
What photos should I send?
Send wide photos showing the whole load or room, plus closer photos of heavy, unusual or difficult-to-access items.
What is the junk truck capacity?
The truck capacity is up to 2 tonnes. Actual suitability also depends on volume, material type, item dimensions and safe loading requirements.
Do you accept hazardous materials?
Do not include asbestos, chemicals, paint, fuel, gas bottles or other hazardous materials without identifying them first. Specialist disposal may be required and some items may not be accepted.
What areas do you service?
MoveRemove serves the wider Auckland region. Send the relevant addresses and preferred date so availability can be confirmed.
Can I book moving and junk removal together?
You can ask us to assess a combined job. Clearly separate the items being moved from those being considered for removal.
What about fragile, valuable or very heavy items?
Identify these items before booking and provide dimensions, approximate weight and photos. Ask about current terms and any cover that may apply to your specific job.
